Government Services
Winona is the hub for a number of government services and facilities.
The downtown area houses City Hall, which holds a city manager and a seven-member city council. The city manager, commissioned by the city council, is responsible for the daily affairs of the city of more than 27,000 people. Winona provides top-notch municipal services including an outstanding fire department and police department.
The Port Authority of Winona aids in the development of commerce within the city and offers a variety of economic development resources for businesses interested in locating to or expanding in the city of Winona.
