Park facilities include baseball, soccer, and football fields, tennis courts, walking tracks, fishing ponds, and playgrounds.

The 640-acre County Fairgrounds in Gulfport is a com- prehensive sports and entertainment complex with soccer fields, picnic areas, and a 4,000-seat covered arena for rodeos, concerts, motorcross races, and horse shows.

Harrison County Skate Park and Hockey Complex, also in Gulfport, offers facilities for hockey, skateboarding, and in-line skating seven days a week.

Swimmers will enjoy Biloxi’s Natatorium, which is open year-round. This public facility has both indoor and outdoor pools.

Just off the coast, Gulf Islands National Seashore offers boat launches, hiking trails, campgrounds, and a pier. Passenger boats take visitors from Gulfport to day-use beaches on Ship Island from March through October. Primitive camping is available on unspoiled East Ship, Horn, and Petit Bois islands.
