It is no wonder this area has been nicknamed "The Golf Coast!" In 2000, patrons played about half a million rounds of golf here. The mild year-round climate, warm Southern hospitality and wide variety of golf packages and facilities make this area a duffer’s dream.

One of the finest courses in the area is the Grand Bear, the Jack Nicklaus signature course developed by Grand Casinos. Known for having the feel of Augusta and the excitement of Pinehurst, it was declared one of the top 10 best new golf courses in the United States by Golf Digest magazine.

The Oaks, just off I-10 in Pass Christian, is a $5 million beauty. Designed in the tradition of Kiawah Island, Oak Tree, and PGA West, it hosted the PGA Tours’ Mississippi Gulf Coast Open in 2000.

From handicap-shredding championship layouts to shorter, tree-lined gems and par threes, the golf courses of the Mississippi Gulf Coast can accommodate everyone, from novice golfers to seasoned veterans.
