Healthcare services on the Gulf Coast have kept pace with the areas rapid growth, providing significant gains in residents access to medical care. More than $90 million has been spent for new facilities, including a new hospital, a new medical mall, numerous outpatient facilities, and medical office buildings. Memorial Hospital at Gulfport offers a high level of medical technology to our community. With more than 400 beds and 280 physicians representing over 40 medical specialties, its dedicated to providing the best possible patient care. Biloxi Regional Medical Center, a 153-bed acute-care hospital, offers all private rooms and has a full-service emergency department. Other services include oncology, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, and skilled nursing. The 200 dedicated physicians on staff use the latest technology to provide the highest possible level of care for patients. Other facilities include the new Garden Park Medical Center in Gulfport, a 130-bed acute-care surgical facility, and Gulf Coast Medical Center in Biloxi, a 144-bed acute-care hospital. Both offer around-the-clock emergency care. Gulf Coast Medical Center also has a 45-bed behavioral and chemical dependency unit. Specialized care is offered by Quality Health Services, a locally owned firm that provides home health care, hospice care, and pharmacy service.
