Questions & Answers

The City of Madison has a contract with Waste Management to provide curbside garbage and recycling pick-up. Garbage is collected twice per week and recycling is collected once per week.

A: All garbage must be bagged or bagged and placed in containers. The weight of the container and its contents shall not exceed 75 lbs. Q. Does Waste Management collect hazardous waste, such as motor oil, gasoline or paint?

A: No, Waste Management does not collect any hazardous waste; however, Waste Management will collect empty paint cans if all contents are dry and they are placed next to your garbage can with the lids off of them.
