In addition to easy access of three major highway arteries, Brentwood also has a MetroLink light rail station and many bus stops. MetroLink offers routes to important areas on both the Missouri and Illinois sides of St. Louis.
During 2007, major reconstruction began on nearby Interstates 64 and 170. These projects are expected to be completed in 2010 and will make Brentwood more accessible than ever. In the meantime, Interstate 44 remains a nearby alternate route to reach downtown St. Louis and locations in West St. Louis County.
For citizens who are the age of 55 or older, and have a disability, the city provides a bus system. The Magic Bus provides a mode of transportation to surrounding communities as well as the area hospitals.
