City Services
Brentwood prides itself on providing in-house services to the community.
LEADERSHIP - There are two (2) Alderpersons representing each of the four Wards, along with the Mayor.
FIRE DEPARTMENT – Brentwood sustains its own Fire, EMT and dispatching staff and equipment. The city also assists neighboring municipalities with these services.
POLICE DEPARTMENT – The Brentwood Police Department is recognized in the region for being one of the best.
PUBLIC WORKS – Snow, Trash, Recycling and Lawn & Leaf Removal is all provided by Brentwood’s own staff and equipment.
LIBRARY – Brentwood’s State of the Art Library originally opened in 1938 with a mere 85 cents in its treasury. There are activities and programs throughout the year for children and adults with full computer access.
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF – Over 100 full-time and 40 part-time employees provide dedicated service on a daily basis.
