Benefiting from proximity to a well-built network of state and interstate highways, Clinton residents and businesses find convenient connections to larger Midwest tourist and commercial centers. Highways located within a 50-mile radius include U.S. Interstate 70; U.S. Highways 65, 71, 54, and 50; and State Highways 52, 13, and 7. The Clinton Memorial Airport, located 3-1/2 miles east of Clinton on Highway 7, has a 4,000-foot paved and lighted runway that accommodates both private and corporate aircraft with NDB and GPS instrument approaches. Kansas City Airport, less than a 90-minute drive from Clinton, handles hundreds of arriving and departing flights, both domestic and international, each day.
