The Clinton Park and Recreation Department schedules a wide range of activities, programs, and events for the community. Basketball, volleyball, soccer, and baseball leagues and camps are organized for both kids and adults. Youth flag football, tennis lessons, swim team, and a summer day camp keep the younger set physically fit, while a full line-up of classes such as aerobics, karate, gymnastics, dance, and acrobatics appeal to all ages. The Municipal Swimming Pool, open from June through August, hosts water aerobic classes and family fun nights. The recreation department also runs the Clinton Community Center. The center houses a gymnasium complete with a collegiate-size basketball court and three volleyball courts, a walking track, an aerobics tae kwon do area, and meeting rooms. The Wellness Center boasts treadmills, stair steppers, bikes, and weight machines. In addition to providing leisure activities, the Park and Recreation Department maintains approximately 120 acres of parkland. Artesian Park, Clintons largest, provides an Olympic-size swimming pool, tennis courts, softball fields, horseshoe pits, playgrounds, and picnic shelters. Hurt Memorial Park contains an outdoor basketball court, playground, and two picnic shelters. Optimist Park supplies a softball field, a basketball court, a playground, and a picnic shelter. Wagoner Complex contains two baseball fields, two soccer fields, and a playground.
