Location and Transportation

The Creve Coeur and Olivette area is a well-located, thriving suburb of St. Louis, located approximately 12 miles west of downtown, with easy access to major thoroughfares including I-170, I-270, I-64/Highway 40 and I-70, and a 15-minute drive to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.

Within a 10-minute drive is the Spirit of St. Louis Airport, home to 500 aircraft, from single-engine to multi-engine jets. Convenient for business and corporate travelers, the airport has two runways, multiple landing systems and an FAA tower that is open 24-hours. A few minutes away is the Creve Coeur Airport, home to over 75 aircraft age 45 years or older, from a 1928 Timm Collegiate to a Stinson SM8A. Over half the flying Monocoupe’s in the world are based here.

Olive Boulevard is a primary east-west route through both cities. Completed in 2004, the $20 million Olive/I-270 interchange improvement received 90 percent in federal funds and 10 percent from the state and city of Creve Coeur. The interchange also included $3 million for beautification including landscaping, stone ornaments and lights, walkways and bicycle paths.

Creve Coeur’s daytime population numbers more than 40,000 people, or more than twice the residential population, making Creve Coeur a thriving business market. Creve Coeur’s city limits are roughly defined by Warson Road on the east, Olive Boulevard on the north, Mason Road on the west and I-64/Highway 40 and Conway Road on the south. The city limits cover approximately 11.36 square miles and contain 7,600 housing units. Creve Coeur is surrounded by neighboring municipalities including Chesterfield, Town and Country, Frontenac, Ladue, Clayton, Olivette and Maryland Heights.

Creve Coeur and Olivette are also served by public transit with regularly scheduled buses, a nearby MetroLink station and several local taxi services.
