Education

The Creve Coeur and Olivette community has a long-standing reputation for providing outstanding private, parochial and public educational opportunities.

Served by three public school systems, Parkway, Ladue and a very small part of Pattonville, as well as more than 30 private and parochial schools, area residents have access to some of the finest educational facilities in the country.

The Parkway School District serves the majority of Creve Coeur and is one of the largest in the region with a total enrollment of more than 20,000 students in 18 elementary schools, five middle schools and five high schools. The Pattonville School District serves the northeast portion of Creve Coeur with an enrollment of 7,000 students.

The Ladue School District serves the city of Olivette and the eastern part of Creve Coeur, with one early childhood center, four elementary schools, one middle school and one senior high school, with a total enrollment of over 3,300 students. The high school offers an expanded curriculum and has the honor of more National Merit Semi Finalists than any other public school in the state.

Andrews Academy

Many of the finest private and parochial high schools can be found in the community, including Academy of the Visitation, Chaminade College Preparatory School, Christian Brothers College, DeSmet Jesuit High School, St. Louis Priory, Villa Duchesne, Westminster Christian Academy, Christian Brothers College and Whitfield School.

On a 55-acre campus, Chaminade College Preparatory School, with an enrollment of 800 students in the middle and high school, is an independent Catholic school sponsored by the society of St. Mary, which offers advanced placement courses.

Westminster Christian Academy boasts an enrollment of 625 students, grades seventh through 12th, on a 30-acre campus. Founded in 1976, the school offers a comprehensive program of college preparatory classes, which focus on Biblical studies, English, fine arts, foreign language, history, mathematics, practical arts, the sciences and physical education.

Hope Montessori Academy and Andrews Academy, an employer-sponsored comprehensive education center, serves area youngsters between the ages of two and six years old, by providing a kinesthetic learning environment in which they can make their own discoveries about the world around them, thus allowing the children to develop self confidence and motivation while they progress at their own pace.

Westminster Christian Academy

Andrews Academy, with students from more than 30 countries represented, is fast becoming recognized as an international school of excellence, offering classes to children in kindergarten through sixth grade. The Hope Montessori campus also contains programming for children from six weeks to 36 months of age. Creve Coeur also offers other preschool and childcare options including KinderCare Learning Center and Good Shepherd School for Children.

Logos School is an independent, alternative, therapeutic middle and high school in St. Louis dedicated to assisting students and their families with academic and emotional needs, which have not been met in the traditional classroom. Founded in 1970, Logos has assisted over 1,400 at-risk adolescents achieve a high school diploma and the emotional stability to become productive young adults. Logos School's unique program consists of strong, individualized academics, innovative therapy and parent involvement.

With the proven academic records, premier curriculum and stellar athletic programs offered by area schools, it is easy to see why the area has produced such noteworthy alumni as Stone Phillips and Lou Brock.
