ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE
This parade saw its origin in 2001 and has been growing every year since then. It’s a great Springtime outing for everyone, with lots to see and enjoy.

HOME & GARDEN SHOW
In 1993, this show began with just a few exhibitors echoing in a half empty hall, and has gotten so large that now it fills two floors and a parking lot. Exhibitors come every April from several counties to display their latest wares and to give demonstrations.

GOLF TOURNAMENT
This is a very relaxed tournament in April, where all the members of the Chamber of Commerce and other business people in the community can enjoy each other’s company. The food is great and the weather is almost always perfect. There are always great prizes and a wide range of skill levels.

INSTALLATION & AWARDS BANQUET
This is an evening in May to reward all those who have worked throughout the year to bring about these events, and those who work in the community in other ways. It is also a time to enjoy some fine food and entertainment as the new Chamber of Commerce Officers and Directors are installed.

SPRING FEST
Started as a brainstorm which grew into a fun-filled festival. Crafters, food vendors, entertainment and a unique setting on Main Street of our historic railroad town makes this an event everyone can enjoy. Antique shops, historic buildings, and music are all a part of this day.

FOURTH OF JULY PARADE
The spirit of patriotism could not be higher than in DeSoto. The many veterans’ groups, the National Guard Armory, and the individuals whose hometown upbringing have left them with a great pride in their country, all turn out for one of the biggest parades in the county.

DESOTO FALL FESTIVAL
Always a beautiful place for Fall, Walther Park hosts this annual event for over 5,000 people to have an opportunity to enjoy the park, craft and food vendors, entertainment, carnival rides, helicopter rides and much more. In cooperation with the police and park departments, the DeSoto Chamber of Commerce delights in bringing this event to its community.

CHRISTMAS IN DESOTO
A day to involve the entire community in the spirit of Christmas. The parade, Main Street Merchant participation, carriage rides, Christmas caroling, visits with Santa, tree lighting and camaraderie with other members of the community make this evening one to remember.
