Moline Acres

graphicThis area saw its biggest growth spurt just after it was chartered as a village in 1949. At that time Moline Acres had 99 residents. The population grew in the mid 1950’s, when Moline Acres annexed several unincorporated neighborhoods, including Hathaway Meadows and Northfield Gardens. With the additional residents, the village was able to become a fourth class city in 1961.

The residential community of Moline Acres occupies just 0.56 of a square mile along Bellefontaine Neighbors’ west boundary. It is bordered on the north by Chambers Road. Halls Ferry Road is a short distance beyond its western border. St. Cyr Road and the City of Jennings act as the southern boundary.

There are approximately 50 businesses that dot the community. Residential amenities are available and a large variety of homes are accessible ranging from bungalows to ranch-style dwellings.

The Top of the Tower is the main landmark for Moline Acres. It stands proudly at Chambers and Highway 367.

A Country Library building is nearby providing good library services to residents in that area.
