For post-secondary educational endeavors, Three Rivers Community College (TRCC) provides quality college courses along with career and technical programs that are affordable, convenient and close to home.
TRCC offers the same freshman and sophomore classes as four-year universities for about one-third of the cost. Its affordable career and technical programs give students the skills to succeed in the workplaces of today and tomorrow. TRCC helps students with financial aid, career advising and job placement.
Three Rivers makes going to college convenient with day and evening classes, off-campus locations and Web-based, fast-track and weekend courses. TRCC helps students excel with an honors program and leadership opportunities and offers foundation classes for students who need a boost to succeed in college courses.
TRCC offers associate degrees and associate of applied science degrees in a variety of academic, career and technical areas and transfer programs for those headed to a four-year college program. For the latter, TRCC has partnerships with several four-year institutions that allow students to earn bachelor’s degrees on the Poplar Bluff campus in fields such as education, management, business and accounting. This allows residents to attain their educational goals without having to leave home.
TRCC also offers continuing education courses, dual credit and dual enrollment courses for high school students and customized training to meet the needs of businesses and industries. Three Rivers makes a positive impact on the local economy through its skilled, educated alumni and its annual operating budget of $13.7 million.
Our community also benefits from TRCC’s athletic teams, which draw fans from throughout the region, and cultural events, including touring concerts and musicals, featured at the college’s Tinnin Fine Arts Center.

There are several institutions in the area that partner with TRCC to promote adult studies. The Bootheel Education Center is a consortium of three colleges and four vocational schools, intended to offer adult and post-secondary education.
Southeast Missouri State at Cape Girardeau works with TRCC to offer four bachelor-level degree completion programs, including elementary education, criminal justice, interdisciplinary studies and nursing.
