contentsTwin City Area MO Chamberads

On behalf of the Twin City Area Chamber of Commerce, I’d like to welcome you to our cities. The Chamber of Commerce serves Festus, Crystal City and the surrounding area, a community rich in tradition yet progressive.

Neighborhoods vary from those such as 100-year-old homes along tree-lined cobblestone Mississippi Avenue to new Festus home developments sporting the latest designs. People move here to live and raise children in a safe, small-town atmosphere with many local conveniences, and still be able to utilize Interstate 55 for a quick commute to St. Louis County. People remain here for the strong sense of community and tradition.

The Twin City Chamber is proud of the varied business districts that include Festus Main Street, Bailey Road in Crystal City, Truman Boulevard (Highway 61-67), Veterans Boulevard (Highway A) and the Gannon Drive loop. After shopping, you may want to dine in one of more than 50 area restaurants, grab your skates and head to our Skate Center or catch a movie showing at our eight-screen complex. After all of this, visitors can get a good night’s sleep at several local motels.

Located in Jefferson County, Missouri, our community is a short drive to Jefferson College in Hillsboro, now boasting campus housing, as well as several four-year programs in cooperation with St. Louis colleges.

Great recreational time can be spent at one of several parks, including scenic West City Park in Festus (complete with soccer fields and several ponds with ducks) and Crystal City Park (with tennis courts and a swimming pool.) The YMCA of Jefferson County is located in Festus and offers sports, workout areas, aerobic programs, a gymnasium, an indoor track and swimming pool for year-round exercise and fun.

Enjoyable opportunities available through the Twin City Chamber include a free Music in the Park Series each summer. Annually, in September, Twin City Days, a community festival, offers a golf tournament, community breakfast, sports for children and adults, a dog show, an arts & craft fair, a custom & antique car & tractor show, seniors in the park music and lunch, trivia tournament, an oldies’ music dance and much more.

The holiday season in the Twin Cities has kicked off with the Chamber Christmas Parade since 1948. Color guards, floats and decorated motor units, marching bands, emergency vehicles, antique cars, walking units, dance troupes, local dignitaries and, of course, Santa Claus, all add to the event’s ability to warm the cool night air on the Monday after Thanksgiving.

Further enhancing the hometown atmosphere is the involvement of 50 churches, Boy and Girl Scout troops and many service organizations including Twin City branches of Kiwanis, Rotary and Optimist Clubs. A local newspaper and a radio station keep residents informed of what is happening in the area. The business community supports local schools, clubs, charities, celebrations and events.

Please feel free to stop by the Twin City Area Chamber Office, call me at 636-931-7697 or contact me through our website,, when you are in town or planning a visit to our area.
