Beatrice, the county seat of Gage County, is nestled in the southeastern corner of Nebraska, approximately 39 miles due south of Lincoln and 99 miles southwest of Omaha.
It sits at the intersection of U.S. Highway 77, Nebraska Highway 4 and U.S. Highway 136 (the Heritage Highway), a Nebraska scenic byway. Interstate 80 is easily accessed 39 miles north in Lincoln, while Interstate 29 is reachable approximately 65 miles to the east, just over the Missouri border. The Burlington Northern Railroad serves the business sector in town, as does the Beatrice Municipal Airport.
The airport has the capabilities to accommodate all single, turbo prop and business aircraft. It features two paved runways, hangar space, aircraft rental, maintenance services and flight instruction.
