Norfolk has established three industrial sites in the community to support the burgeoning manufacturing industry.
Nearly 50 plants, employing 4,750 workers, call this area home. In the past decade, Kendall Company expanded its product line of medical equipment; Nucor Steel added a $130 million melt shop; Arnold Engineering chose to produce its industrial-application magnets here in 1992 and expanded just five years later; and Wis-Pak, a regional soft drink canner, doubled its operations in 1999.
Norfolk is a partner in the Elkhorn Valley Economic Development Council, continuously striving to ensure growth in the region. The council partners four county governments and 16 communities, sharing resources and opportunity.
