Mayor Welcome Letter
I am glad you have shown an interest in Sidney. We have a long history of success stories, but it is our people that make us special.
Our citizens are people that have family values. These grassroots values are still a big deal in our hometown. We have a community center that was built with citizen donations. We have a new fishing pond in our park built with volunteer labor and donations. Sidney has several progressive churches that have remodeled or built new additions. We are building the newest high school in Nebraska because the citizens believe in our future. We have a hiking, biking, walking path that extends all across town. There are several new housing projects currently under development. Our theme is "small town values with big time opportunities" and that is exactly what you will find in Sidney. I hope you too will see Sidney as a great place to call home. We sure would be pleased if you join us.
