Where better to do your shopping than here in South Lake Tahoe?
A variety of basic everyday needs are readily available along with a diverse array of unique shops selling home decor, wine, clothing, art, Tahoe-themed items, luxury items, sporting goods and those “I need” or “must have” items.
As residents, we are lucky to have so many choices and, even more so, because as we shop in our own community, we strengthen it by supporting our neighbors. As a visitor or second homeowner you are encouraged to support the community you are so fond of during your stay and “Shop at the Lake.”
Whether you are a resident or visitor you will find retailers throughout the community ready to provide you with Blue Ribbon Service. Parking is easy when compared to large city malls or a typical small town main street, especially around the holidays.
We encourage you to explore it all and suggest you start by visiting the many businesses at the “Y,” including the Factory Outlet Stores. Then stop by the myriad of plazas that house specialty shops, selling everything from quilting supplies to vintage posters along Highway 50. As you move into the Stateline Area, you will find many retailers located in the Village Center and Heavenly Village, including specialty shops featuring items for your pets, beads, fashionable clothing and photography. Be sure to also visit the shops located in the casinos and up along Kingsbury Grade where you will find some terrific jewelry stores. Check the business directory listing or go to www.tahoechamber.org for a listing of local businesses waiting to meet your needs.
