Claremont’s five city parks, which encompass more than 420 acres, are used for all manner of enjoyment. There’s the lighted baseball field and basketball courts at Barnes Park; the lighted field for softball at Veteran’s Park, which also features an outdoor pool, playground and lighted horseshoe pits; and Monadnock Park, which has a new playground, tennis courts, running track, soccer fields and an ice skating area.

graphicMoody Park is 175 acres of mostly wooded, scenic terrain used extensively for hiking, biking, picnics, tennis, cross-country skiing and ice skating. Arrowhead is a former ski area owned by the city and is the site of some of winter’s hottest sledding parties.

The Goodwin Community Center is a city-owned downtown complex which includes a game room, meeting rooms, indoor pool and full-size gymnasium. The complex also houses the Claremont Recreation Department, which runs indoor and outdoor programs year ‘round for all ages. For the summer visitor, Broad Street Park’s summer band concerts offer the perfect opportunity to spend an enjoyable evening under the stars.

Experience for yourself all of the fun that Claremont has to offer!graphicgraphic
