The Claremont community benefits from wonderful municipal services, including police and fire protection, library, recreation and parks, and public works.

Accessibility is the key to Claremont’s effective government. From 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, the City Manager’s Office is open to any resident with a request or concern. In Claremont’s Council/Manager style of government, the City Manager functions as a general supervisor over all city departments and as an Administrator to the City Council and its committees. The City Council convenes every second Wednesday of the month to address all issues of importance to the community. When necessary, the Chairperson can call meetings of the four Council committees: Traffic, Safety, Health and Public Works.

Claremont’s Police and Fire Departments are comprised of a highly dedicated team of professionals who serve the city through many community programs in addition to crime prevention and fire fighting. The 9-1-1 Communication Center provides 24-hour emergency links to police, fire and ambulance service.
