Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) is a 396-bed tertiary care hospital, New Hampshire’s only Level 1 Trauma Center, and multi-specialty group practice located on the Hanover-Lebanon town line. DHMC is part of Dartmouth-Hitchcock, New Hamphire’s only academic health system with more than 900 primary and specialty care physicians located throughout New Hamphire and Vermont. DHMC’s academic partner is Dartmouth Medical School, one of the leading medical schools in the country. Dartmouth-Hitchcock is also home to the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD), New Hampshire’s only comprehensive, full-service children’s hospital and the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, New Hampshire’s only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center.
Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital in Lebanon is a 25-bed community hospital that specializes in a family-centered approach in 30-plus specialties and clinical areas. It has more than 60 physicians on staff and an assisted living community called Harvest Hill and an independent living retirement community called The Woodlands. The area features a number of individual and group family practices, the Good Neighbor Clinic in White River Junction, which assures quality medical care for those without the means to pay, and the Red Logan Dental Clinic, which offers the same for those unable to pay for dental work. d
