Greater Rochester residents can enjoy advanced healthcare close to home, thanks to Frisbie Memorial Hospital.
Established in 1919, Frisbie Memorial Hospital is a 100-bed acute care community hospital located in Rochester, New Hampshire that offers a broad range of traditional medical and psychiatric services in a modern facility equipped with advanced medical technology including state-of-the-art interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization labs, MRI, and PET scanning.
Frisbie’s Center for Cancer Care provides chemotherapy, clinical trials, and supportive services in affiliation with the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. The hospital’s specialized inpatient geriatric psychiatry unit is the only one of its kind on the Seacoast dedicated to caring for elders with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Frisbie extends its services to the “South Main Street Campus,” located in downtown Rochester. Patients receive outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy here and enjoy ample parking.
In addition to hospital services, Frisbie’s Department of Primary Care operates three primary healthcare practices in Rochester including Rochester Hill Family Practice, Rochester Internal Medicine and Skyhaven Internal Medicine.
Dedicated to improving the health of the greater Rochester Community, Frisbie’s 8,500 square-foot Community Education & Conference center hosts free community lectures, health screenings, and childbirth education classes annually. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to use this building on a space-available basis.
The Avis Goodwin Community Health Center, a fee-based clinic depending on income and service located in downtown Rochester, provides caring and preventive family healthcare to ensure proper medical care.
Seacoast RediCare located in Somersworth, an affiliate of Frisbie Memorial Hospital, provides convenient and economical walk-in care including laboratory, x-ray, EKG, physical therapy and other services throughout the day.
Home healthcare offers a variety of healthcare services in the patient’s home following an illness or injury. Complete home healthcare services are provided by Your VNA with many certified specialties and a new support services program. Programs for the elderly are provided by The Homemakers of Strafford County, that includes a day-out program, Senior Olympic program, transportation, respite care, adult medical day care, shopping and light housekeeping.
Several agencies offer comprehensive mental health services and chemical and substance abuse treatment. Skilled nursing home facilities and long-term care services can be found in Rochester for those with long-term illnesses and disabilities.
Rehabilitation facilities and services are also provided in the area for those in need of gaining their strength following an illness, surgery or accident.
Today’s state-of-the-art dentistry is available to residents of Rochester. Dental professionals are dedicated to coordinating your complete dental health from basic maintenance to complete oral rehabilitation.
