Small, medium and large businesses and industries are represented in the region. They include financial services, hospitals, manufacturers, retail stores, high tech companies, law firms and restaurants. Cooper Health System, West Jersey Health System, Lockheed Martin Communications and Commerce Bank are among the largest employers in the region. The Cherry Hill Mall, the first enclosed mall in the Northeast, offers employment as well as shopping along with several other large malls and hundreds of other retail centers and stores. The Cherry Hill Regional Chamber of Commerce with membership of 800 businesses supports the business climate through weekly networking events and a Member Only Discount Program on business products and services. The Chamber sponsors an annual Business Expo, a Women-in-Business Expo and an annual food festival to showcase the local restaurants.

Housing in South Jersey is a homebuyer's dream. Whether it's an authentic colonial home, ranch, split-level, or a modern luxury home with cathedral ceilings and a gabled roof, it's available in the region. In addition to the variety of single family homes, there are attractive apartment and condominium clusters. Senior housing is growing in the region. In the midst of this diverse housing there remain several working farms growing the produce and flowers offered at their popular farm markets.
