The residents who live and work here love to play here.
In the three county areas of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties
there are 28 golf courses and 19 parks.
The expanding Camden Waterfront has the Blockbuster-Sony
Music Entertainment Center dubbed the "E-Center", which accommodates
25,000 people for top name entertainers. Its neighbors are the New Jersey
State Aquarium and the Children's Garden. The unique Children's Garden
is the visitor's center for the waterfront. There's a ferryboat connecting
the Aquarium and Philadelphia. An over-the-river tram connecting Camden
baseball park is proposed. The Cooper River Park provides hiking, sailing
and concerts in the park. There are mega-movie complexes and several
local theater groups presenting ambitious and polished productions.
Classical music groups in the area have outstanding programs.
Garden
State Discovery Museum and the "Flea" Market at Garden State
Park offer a childrens wonderland and unique shopping; and it's
a convenient drive up the turnpike to Six Flags Great Adventure for
big theme park enjoyment. An hour away is the "Shore" with beaches all
along the Atlantic Ocean and the glittering casinos in Atlantic City
where you can play 24 hours a day. The Cherry Hill Regional Chamber
of Commerce is administrator for the Delaware River Region Tourism council,
dispensing day to day information and maintaining a data base reflecting
demographics and statistics vital to keeping a finger on the pulse of
the public's likes and needs.

Of course, there's South Jersey dining. If you want
buffalo wings or a superior French Country menu, fine Italian dining,
Asian specialties, or fast foods, there are hundreds of eateries and
more opening every month. And there are traditional New Jersey diners
at good prices.

The
residents of South Jersey take education seriously and are not only
vocal but participate in what's going on in the schools. The SAT scores
for the area are consistently high and there is concern for children
of all needs. There is an outstanding number of public, private and
parochial schools available. There are three university campuses in
the area. Rowan University and Rutgers University-Camden Campus and
the University of Medicine & Dentistry of NJ; three County Colleges
(Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties); and the NJ Institute
of Technology-Burlington Campus. Technical schools are the Burlington
County Institute of Technology; Camden County Technical School and Gloucester
