Along the Coast
Northern Monmouth County is located along New Jersey’s northern and eastern coasts, and with a well-developed multimodal transportation infrastructure, it is conveniently linked to many major cities.
Located along the Boston-to-Washington corridor, Monmouth County enjoys quick access to several major highways. The Garden State Parkway, Routes 36 and 35 and the long-awaited completion of the Route 33 bypass make travel by car convenient. Currently, the county is undertaking a multi-million dollar road improvement program, the Kosloski Road extension and an ambitious bridge replacement program.
AMTRAK provides rail service to nationwide destinations, while the NJ Transit’s Jersey Coast Line runs to Newark, Manhattan’s Penn Station and Newark Liberty International Airport, and many other places.
New York city is within sight of Northern Monmouth County, and can be reached via ferry, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable commute.
