Advantageously Located

Union Township, NJ Chamber of Commerce

Union is advantageously located just 15 minutes from Newark and 30 minutes from New York. The Garden State Parkway and Interstate 78 provide Union with major north/south and east/west connections, respectively, while Routes 22, 24 and 82 run through Union for more local travel. In addition to easy access to urban areas, Union is only an hour from Pennsylvania’s bucolic Pocono Mountains and two hours from Atlantic City and the New Jersey Shore.

To complement the roadway systems, the first passenger railroad station in Union’s history opened in April 2003, providing access to the PATH system and Manhattan. The station, part of the Raritan Valley Line, provides transportation between Hunterdon County to the west and Newark/New York City to the east. In addition, Union is 15 minutes from Newark Penn Station/Amtrak and minutes from Iselin’s Metropark Station. New Jersey Transit operates local bus lines and bus service to New York City.

With Newark Liberty International Airport less than 10 miles away, Union is just a connection away from hundreds of domestic and foreign cities.
