At the crossroads of New Jersey, people and businesses have been coming to Woodbridge Township since 1664. Noted for its progressiveness, Woodbridge still retains some of that Colonial charm mixed with corporate office towers, the intersection of New Jersey’s main highways and travel routes, an active waterfront home to business and industry as well as recreationists, and thriving downtown business and shopping districts in Woodbridge proper, Colonia, Fords, Iselin, Avenel and Port Reading.
Woodbridge Township is the oldest original Township in the state. Despite its 26 square miles, the Township–which is comprised of 10 towns–has the feel of small-town America. Woodbridge offers quiet, tree-lined neighborhoods, local schools within a short walk and a responsive government focused on the needs of those who choose to live, work, establish businesses and play in our community.
As Mayor of Woodbridge Township, I am continually seeking opportunities and programs whereby Woodbridge businesses, industry and corporate facilities can stay in front of the ever-changing economic and business climate, while better preparing for the months ahead. We are currently offering Woodbridge Township businesses and/or property owners who own/operate a business and are located within a designated commercial business Redevelopment/Rehabilitation Zone, Township-sponsored grants and low-interest loans to improve and restore exterior facades and buildings. We have signed-on to state sponsored programs such as the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency ‘Live Where You Work’ program and the “InvestNJ” business grant program–all as part of our efforts to stimulate the business economy and help Township businesses–and residents–weather today’s economic challenges.

Furthermore, our “Greenable Woodbridge” program is in place to jump-start those businesses seeking to take advantage of national environmental initiatives by offering incentives for “sustainable” manufacturing and “green” business programs.
In concert with our Municipal Council, the Greater Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Woodbridge Economic Development Corporation (WEDCO), we welcome you to learn more about our great Township and the many commercial opportunities that exist throughout our “Ten Towns.”
