An alternative to the area’s public school system can be found through a handful of private establishments, providing both religious and non-religious schooling to students from preschool through the high school level.
Nearly 13,500 students attend one of the district’s 24 modern facilities. Serving 5,953 students in grades kindergarten through fifth, and equipped with 478 certified faculty and staff members, are 16 elementary schools, while five middle schools, offering education for grades sixth through eighth, are comprised of 3,336 students and 281 certified faculty and staff employees. The district’s three high schools provide schooling to 4,161 students in grades ninth through twelfth. Supplied with 328 certified faculty and staff members, the high schools afford more than 150 courses in Advanced Placement, College Preparatory, Business and Vocational, and Cooperative Work/Study Programs – preparing graduating students with the skills and tools needed in order to be successful in today’s progressive economy.
