Aiding the Township’s already business-friendly environment are organizations dedicated to the well being of local commerce. Working to attract new businesses, as well as support the area’s already established businesses, the Woodbridge Economic Development Corporation (WEDCO) has designed a number of programs to create successful ventures for area entities.
For more than 45 years, the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce has been a significant aspect of the business community. Small businesses, whether established or just starting up, have an excellent avenue through the College of New Jersey Small Business Development Center. Counseling over 600 businesses and training around 2,000 each year, the SBDC is important to small businesses in the community. SCORE, Counselors to America’s Small Businesses, is also available for consultation, business assistance and seminars at no charge to those in need of their services.
Additionally, the State of New Jersey provides a full range of programming for businesses in Woodbridge through the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission.
