Thousands of shoppers visit Woodbridge daily to browse through the area’s charming shops and large-scale retailers. The area’s shops line the streets of the communities’ neighborhoods and quaint downtown centers, with popular spots that include downtown Main Street (Woodbridge), Inman Avenue (Colonia), St. Georges Avenue (Avenel), Oak Tree Road (Iselin), Route 27 (Iselin) and New Brunswick Avenue (Fords), along with two area malls.
Anchored by Dick’s, Fortunoff, JCPenney, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s and Sears, Woodbridge Center comprises 1.5 million square feet of superior shopping, dining and entertainment. The mall’s two floors are jam packed with apparel, accessories, sporting goods, electronics, health and beauty, home furnishing and specialty stores, coupled with several sit-down and fast-fix restaurants, a children’s play area and a carousel.
An additional option for meeting those shopping needs is the nearby Menlo Park Mall, situated in Edison. The two-level mall is anchored by such stores as JCPenney, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s, Nordstrom and Barnes & Noble. On top of its wide array of brand name stores are restaurants and a food court, as well as a 12-screen multiplex cinema.
