Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center is located at the base of the beautiful Sacramento Mountains (GCRMC) is a 99 bed acute care, Joint Commission Accredited medical facility. GCRMC recently celebrated the sixth-first anniversary of the hospital. The current location has been the home for this medical center for eleven years. There are 76 physicians on staff and the hospital has over 700 employees. GCRMC is one of the largest civilian employees in the community. Holloman Air Force Base shares admitting privileges with GCRMC this unique relationship has been in place for eleven years.
GCRMC offers extensive inpatient and outpatient medical services. Completing the medical services is a state –of- the arts electronic medical record. A new behavioral health program for seniors and a new Joint care program opened in 2010. The facility is currently in the process of the third addition to the medical campus since arriving in December 1999. The new bed tower will transform the hospital to all private rooms and add an inpatient physical rehabilitation unit .The Rehab Unit will open in June of 2011 and the new bed wing will open in the fall. Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center is continuously growing to meet the healthcare need of a growing community.
