Lovington is home to Nor-Lea General Hospital, which is supported by a hospital district that encompasses the Lovington and Tatum school districts and has a tax valuation of more than $878 million.
The hospital–which is managed by Covenant Health Systems of Lubbock, Texas–completed major additions and remodeling programs in 1999 and 2004, and started a $13 million expansion in 2009.
Nor-Lea oversees the Lovington and Tatum clinic, and offers home health and hospice services.
