Golfers enjoy an 18-hole golf course and the amenities of the Lovington Country Club. The local Country Club has always been known for its two PGA golf professionals–
Ronnie Black and Sean Murphy. Lovington Country Club now brags about its golf course as well. The Lovington Country Club added nine new exciting holes to their existing nine. Located one mile east of Lovington on the Denver City Highway, Lovington Country Club offers a challenge for golfers of any skill level. The newest addition to the course (built in what used to be a natural lake) offers picturesque views and a links style golf course.
Five parks serve the community, headlined by 80-acre Chaparral Park, which features an 11-acre lake and an improved jogging and workout trail. With year-round flying possible, Zip Franklin Memorial Airport (county-owned) serves Lovington’s residents. There is a large activities center with a full-time staff for youth, and tennis courts, jogging and biking routes and other facilities round out the recreation scene.
