Taos offers four distinct seasons with a year-round temperate climate, averaging 80 degrees in the summer and 10 degrees in the winter.
State Roads 68, 64, and 522 offer easy access to this high mesa valley nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains as well as to the major metropolitan areas of Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico and Colorado Springs, Denver, and Vail, Colorado.
New Mexico's largest commercial airport Albuquerque International Sunport is approximately two hours away. Taos Regional Airport is open for charter and private aircraft.
