One of the most important steps in acclimating yourself to a new area is finding doctors and medical services for you and your family. While Sullivan County has one hospital, Catskill Regional Medical Center, located within its borders, we are fortunate to have several additional excellent facilities in close proximity. Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC), with facilities in Harris, Callicoon, Woodridge and Wurtsboro, serves the residents of and visitors to Sullivan and surrounding counties, with in-patient, out-patient and outreach healthcare services. The hospital and its auxiliaries also offer newcomers extensive volunteer opportunities. More than eighty physicians, nearly all of whom are board certified, represent specialties including general, colo-rectal and vascular surgery, oncology, physiatry, psychiatry, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, endocrinology, nephrology, neurology, hematology, otolaryngology, pediatric medicine, podiatry, radiology, urology, infectious disease and travel medicine. Emergency care including Fast Track, critical care, medical, surgical, pediatrics, mental health, bio-chemical dependency, and in-patient and out-patient cancer care are just some of the services offered by CRMC. CRMC also offers an in-hospital nursing home; the Upstate Rehabilitation Medicine Center; the Seelig Regional Diabetes Center and Center for Wound Care; the Selma Ettenberg Center for Womens Health; the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center; ambulatory surgery, physical therapy; laboratory, radiology and cardio-pulmonary diagnostic facilities. In addition to the Outreach family health centers for the medically underserved areas in the county the hospital provides: a Regional Geriatric Assessment Program (one of only three in New York State); an Adult Day Care
