Nowhere else in the state does family-oriented tradition mingle so successfully with progressive ideas and new technology. Nestled in the exciting, high-tech Research Triangle of North Carolina’s eastern Piedmont, residents are optimistic about the positive growth in their town.
The 700-acre Greenfield Business Park and White Oak Business Park are home to many companies such as Pergo, Domino’s Pizza Commissary, PJ Foods, Craig Davis Properties, Sigma Electric and 21st Century Distributors. In 2008, Butterball, LLC, the nation’s largest turkey producer, relocated its national headquarters to Greenfield North, and Golden State Foods, the primary food distributor for McDonald’s, began construction on a $23.5 million home for its Southeastern distribution center.
Continued development in and around White Oak Crossing – which contains 210 acres of existing retail, office and multi-unit residential development – is expected to generate many new jobs. Nearly 400 acres on the east and west sides of White Oak Road are available for future mixed-use development.
