Nowhere else in the state does family-oriented tradition mingle so successfully with progressive ideas and new technology. Nestled in the exciting, high-tech Research Triangle of North Carolina’s eastern Piedmont, residents are optimistic about the positive growth in their town. The 700 acre Greenfield Park and the White Oak Business Park are home to many companies such as Pergo, Domino’s Pizza Distribution Facility, PJ Foods, Conagra, Craig Davis Properties, Sigma Electric, and 21st Century Distributors. In 2008, Butterball, LLC, the nation’s largest turkey producer relocated its national headquarters to Greenfield North and Golden State Foods, the primary food distributor for McDonald’s began construction on a $23.5 million dollar warehouse for its southeastern distribution center. Continued development of the 350-acre White Oak Crossing is expected to generate many new retail jobs and the adjacent 350 acres is planned as the site of medical offices, a multi-unit residential complex and a continuing care retirement community.
