Greater Cleveland Welcome

Welcome to the Cleveland Township, Garner, NC; better known as the Cleveland School Area named after the former Cleveland School that is now renovated to accommodate senior apartment living.

Cleveland Township is a rapidly growing area firmly nestled between the two thriving communities of Garner and Clayton, NC. Cleveland is an area on the move with over 5700 new home sites scheduled to be built over the next two years and many new businesses moving in within the next few months. Cleveland Township is located in Johnston County, which is one of the fastest growing areas in NC. Located directly off of Interstate 40 and Highway 42, Cleveland is both suited for the traveler who can rest in one of our many hotels, or for a family who decides to make our area their home.

Cleveland has an attractive small town feel, showcasing many family-oriented events throughout the year. Faye Ayoubi, of Cleveland Photographic Design, captures many of our Chambers events including the annual Strawberry Festival held at the end of April and a community-wide July 4th Celebration complete with parade and fireworks. Residents also gather for Christmas in Cleveland to light the community Christmas tree, visit with Santa, and enjoy local entertainment.

Cleveland is an outstanding location for education with some of the very best schools in the state. Johnston County is ranked one of the highest counties for its educational standards. The township is also just a few short miles from the state Capital in Raleigh.

Often thought of as a vast kept secret, this little area is exploding with land development and prosperity. Residents and business owners agree, Cleveland is the place to be!
