Greater Cleveland Government Services
Johnston County operates under the Council-Manager form of Government and the Board of Commissioners is elected by the citizens of Johnston County. In turn our Commissioners appoint individuals to over thirty boards; Airport Authority, Economic Development Commission and Community College Board of Trustees to name a few.
Cleveland stays well protected by the services of Sheriff Steve Bizzell, the Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department, 50-210 EMS and their dedicated staff and volunteers. Our newest Government service, the Cleveland Oaks Contract Postal Unit offers residents of Cleveland their own post office.
