Greater Cleveland Worship
A number of churches of many denominations provide ecumenical services to the community. There are several churches that offer a variety of worship options from a traditional style to a more contemporary worship service.
Oakland Presbyterian Church was established in 1858 and is the oldest Presbyterian Church USA in the county. Oakland Presbyterian Church is a community of Christians seeking God’s presence in worship and prayer through fellowship and study of God’s word and sharing the joy of God’s call to witness and serve through missions to neighbors near and far. Their membership is rapidly growing and consists of over two hundred active members. Oakland offers a traditional worship service with a fresh perspective.
For a more contemporary service, Cleveland is the home of North Carolina’s second fastest growing church, Cleveland Community Church, known in our area as C3. The vision of C3 is to provide “real hope, for real people, in a real world.” Experiencing a growth rate of over sixty-eight percent each year, they now average over two thousand people in attendance, with four worship services each weekend.
Many area churches also offer opportunities to get involved in children’s activities, youth adventures, Bible studies, scout troops, community service projects, or faith based small group activities. We invite you to attend any of our local churches to find the one that is right for you and your family.
