Topsail Beach

Follow Highway 50 to the south end of Topsail Island and discover Topsail Beach which stretches from the Surf City town limits to the southern end of the island. A bike path leads into the central business area where you will find restaurants and snack bars, miniature golf, a roller rink, motels and retail shops as well as a general store.

Miles of pure white sand for quiet walks, fishing from the surf or pier, plus sailing, diving, surfing and skiing—all provide pleasures for the water sportsman. Just relaxing in this quiet family area may be what you are looking for.

Topsail Beach is a special place—a small community offering big vacation opportunities without losing its peaceful charm. It is one of the better spots on the island to watch the sun rise on the beach or set over the sound.

North Topsail Beach

North Topsail Beach, at the northern end of the island as its name indicates, includes the historically significant community of Ocean City. The town features resort and condominium developments in addition to vacation cottages and a premier campground. A newly constructed fishing pier and motel add to the towns desirability as a tourism destination or place to call home.

Large county beach accesses with restrooms, showers and parking are located throughout the town. North of the high-rise bridge, visitors will find a fishing and boating access area connecting the Intracoastal Waterway. The northern tip of the island at the New River Inlet is a popular fishing location.
