Topsail
Island is located five miles east of US Highway 17 via North Carolinas
Route 210 and Route 50. Travel across a landmark swing bridge on Route
50 to Surf City and the center of the island or
by Route 210 over a high-rise bridge to North Topsail Beach, the northern-most
town on the island. Visitors can easily reach the island from access points
along I-40, the major east/west interstate route.
Topsail is only 25 miles from Jacksonville and 28 miles from Wilmington.
Air
travel to and from the Greater Topsail Area is available via Wilmington
and Jacksonville airports. New Hanover County International Airport in
Wilmington is located on North 23rd Street, not far from US 17 (Market
St.). The airport is serviced by ASA Delta, US Airways, Midway and United
Airlines. Albert J. Ellis Airport in Jacksonville is located off US Highway
258, 14 miles north of Jacksonville, and is serviced by US Airways.
