Darke County is located in west central Ohio, abutting the state of Indiana. We are centered on a north-south line between Toledo and Cincinnati, and on an east-west line between Columbus and Indianapolis. Because of its geographic location, Darke County is within a 90-minute air market for 55% of the population in the United States.

Greenville, our county seat, is located within 23 miles of I-70 and 26 miles of I-75. Greenville is 76 miles north of Cincinnati, 93 miles west of Columbus, 90 miles east of Indianapolis, and 35 miles northwest of Dayton. U.S. 127, a scenic alternate to I-75, has been designated as Annie Oakley Parkway by the State of Ohio.

Darke County is served by Dayton International Airport and is also within a 90-minute drive of Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio airports and Indianapolis, Indiana airport. The Darke County Airport, located near Versailles, provides landing facilities for small aircraft, including corporate jets.

Darke County industry is served by R.J. Corman Railroad and several interstate truck lines.
