For those pursuing higher education, a number of colleges and universities are available within a short commute. Kent State University has eight campuses located throughout Northeast Ohio, and offers a wide range of undergraduate academic programs that allow students to choose from more than 200 majors.

Kent State also offers graduate programs and a number of specialized non-degree programs including certificate programs, special workforce development and off-campus programs, offerings through the College of Continuing Studies, opportunities for lifelong learning through the senior guest program and a range of programs for pre-college students.

The University of Akron, one of the 50 largest universities in the country, is a comprehensive research and teaching university with degree programs ranging from the associate to the doctoral level. With more than 25,000 students, the University of Akron has the third-largest principal campus enrollment of Ohio’s state universities. Students come from all across Ohio, 34 states and 77 foreign countries.

Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland is one of the nation’s leading independent research universities, with programs that encompass the arts and sciences, engineering, the health sciences, law, management and social work.
