Akron General Medical Center is a full-service hospital utilizing the latest medical technology. Complete with a Cancer Center, Heart Center, Women’s Center and more, Akron General Medical Center’s mission is to provide caring and excellent health services that are progressive, patient-centered and family-oriented.

Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron is a 253-bed hospital offering more than 30 areas of specialized medicine and surgery. The hospital staff includes 225 primary care physicians, 310 specialists with admitting privileges and 540 affiliated regional physicians, ensuring that every child receives the best care possible.

Summa Health System, an integrated health care system including Akron City and St. Thomas hospitals and SummaCare health plan, is committed to the full continuum of health care services. Summa has been accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation for cancer, ear, nose and throat, geriatrics, gynecology, heart, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics and respiratory disorders.
