Parks in Stow and
Munroe Falls include bike and hike trails and facilities for picnicking,
fishing, swimming, tennis, softball, basketball, winter sports and camping.
Private recreational and cultural facilities are available
including a
number of excellent golf courses within the cities and many more in nearby
communities. SKiP Playground, a wonderful childrens play area in the center of Stow, is a dream come true. In the fall of 1991, the people of Stow and the surrounding communities worked together to build this dream. Nearly 1,500 volunteers built the 11,000 square foot multi-level, wooden playground in just five days. It is filled with happy children (and parents!) all year long. The Cuyahoga River
is a vital part of the heritage of Munroe Falls, and the city constantly
strives to protect and preserve it so that future generations can enjoy
its beauty and the recreational opportunities it offers residents.
