The Ohio Job Ready Sites Program, authorized by Ohio voters in 2005, was created to increase Ohio’s inventory of available development sites fully served by utility and transportation infrastructure. Wapakoneta was selected as one of Ohio’s new Job Ready Sites grant recipients in 2006. The $1.9 million grant completed the 700-acre West Central Ohio Industrial Center at I-75 and U.S. 33. It is currently the largest rail-served, greenfield industrial park in Ohio with sites ranging from four to 470 acres.
