



The
Hope Hotel is the first and only commercial hotel to be located on
a military installation. The hotel is privately operated and is not
subsidized by the government. Approval for this project was obtained
by an act of congress. While being an experimental endeavor for the
government, The Hope Hotel and Conference Center has experienced tremendous
Success and continues to exceed all expectations.
The Hope Hotel and Conference Center was primarily designed
to house students that came to WPAFB to school and training. The hotel
is contract quarters and provides guest rooms for the overflow from
billeting. Contained in the hotel is a large conference center and
restaurant.
Sleeping rooms are comfortable and accommodating with
a large work desk and phones with a data port for Computer use. The
conference center is a full service meeting and dining facility. Packy's
Restaurant has a lounge and a full service menu.
The hotel opened its doors in June, 1990 and was named
in honor of Mr. Bob Hope for all his years of service to those in
the military.

service meeting and dining facility will accommodate military or private
gatherings of 10 to 1000 people. The catering department can
assist you in menu planning from simple continental breakfasts to
elaborate dinner buffets. Choose from a variety of configurations
and decorations to suit your theme. For the convenience of out
of town guests, the conference center is joined with the Hope
Hotel making this a self contained facility ideal for any event. The
possibilities are endless at the Hope! To make your meeting with us
a complete success, the professional audio-visual rental company,
located in the hotel will property coordinate your meeting and convention
needs. Using a complete line of upto-date rental equipment, our expert
staff will handle all of Your audio/visual requirements. No
matter if your needs are simple or complex, we are there to see that
your presentation goes smoothly.
About Us:
Thank you for considering Hope Hotel
& Conference Center for your upcoming functions. Our team effort
will make your event as pleasant to plan as it is to attend. Our Conference
Center offers you both comfortable surroundings and a sincere staff
to assure success in your function.
As is the case with most successful businesses we find
that certain guidelines and procedures help us insure that you will
he totally satisfied with your event. We include the following information
and ask that you contact our Catering Department if you feel special
arrangements need to be made.
Guarantees:
In or order to be properly prepared to host your function, it
is essential that we be informed as to your guaranteed attendance
at least 72 hours prior to the function. We will prepare for an additional
5% attendance. However, the number guaranteed will be charged in full
even if fewer guests attend. Guarantees for Monday and Tuesday functions
will he required by 12 Noon on Thursday unless special arrangements
can he made. In the event that no guarantee is given, the expected
number as listed on the Function Sheet will be used and charges accordingly.
Menus:
The menus include some of our Popular items. Should You prefer to
design a menu that You feel better suits your occasion, Our Catering
Staff will be more than happy to work with you. We are also prepared
to offer suggestions and recommendations as to possible theme parties
and/or packages that may be appropriate to your affair. All prices
listed are subject to change. Prices
may he guaranteed but not more than 90 days prior to
the date of your function.
Prices quoted do not include the customary 18% taxable
gratuity or the usual applicable sales taxes. Tax exempt status may
certainly he granted provided that we have been furnished with the
proper documents 15 days prior to your event.
Banquet/Meeting Rooms:
As other groups may be utilizing the same room as you prior to
or following your function, please follow the agreed to time schedule.
Should your needs change, contact our Catering Department and every
effort will be made to accommodate You. Requests for major set changes
may result in a modest charge.
The Conference Center will not permit the affixing on
the walls, floors or ceilings with nails, staples, tape or any other
Substance unless prior approval has been arranged through this office.
No food or beverage (alcoholic or other shall be brought
into the meeting rooms without the express permission of the Conference
Center. We reserve the right to charge for the service of such items.
Function Rooms:
Function rooms are assigned according to the guaranteed mini-
number of people anticipated. Room rental fees are applicable if group
attendance drops below the estimated attendance at the time of the
booking. We reserve the right to change groups to a room Suitable
for the attendance at the time of booking. We reserve the right to

VOQ Shuttle Service
Shuttle Service is provided to the O'Club and the BX in Kittyhawk
Center. Other stops are made un Kittyhawk as requested, ie: Enlisted
Club. The shuttle runs on a "Round Robin" at the top of each hour.

Base Shuttle Transportation
Consolidated base shuttle system provides service between all areas
including Kittyhawk Center. The Kittyhawk Shuttle runs until 5:34pm
Monday through Friday; the Express Shuttle runs until 4:25pm Monday
through Friday; and the Area B Shuttle until 4:53 Monday through Friday.
After ditty hours and weekend transportation is available by request
for official business only.

Base Taxi Service
Taxi service on Wright- Patterson runs on a 24 hour schedule for
official business only. Transportation is provided only to destinations
not covered by the scheduled bus lines. The base taxi service does

Base Operations provides transportation between the flightline and

Airport Transportation
Charter Vans Inc. provides van service between the base and Dayton
International Airport. Pick-up times for service from the base back
to the airport begin at 5:55am. Schedules are available at the front
desk
For people arriving at the airport needing service
to the base, Charter Vans is located at the end of the Information
Counter in the baggage claim area. Rates are less than taxi, and you
save even more with the "round trip" ticket.
