The Hermiston Chamber of Commerce website (hermistonchamber.com) connects visitors and new residents to a multitude of exciting things to do in Hermiston. Here is a list of places we strongly recommend.
JANUARY — MELONVILLE COMEDY FESTIVAL
Melonville Comedy Festival brings you some of the best laughs you will have. A Hermiston favorite and a sell out show brings you world renowned comics that have been featured on Comedy Central and radio shows like “Bob & Tom”.
FEBRUARY — BEACH AND BEEF CRABFEED
Enjoy all you can eat crab and kabobs at the Beach & Beef Crabfeed dinner and auction. Proceeds from the event go to the Hermiston Education Foundation.
JUNE — CENTURY FARM TOUR
The Umatilla County Historical Society presents a Century Farm Tour annually for people to see farms that have been operating for more than 100 years. It is a rare opportunity to witness agriculture at its finest.
JULY — FUNFEST
The fun filled event is held on Main Street and includes a children’s teddy bear parade, vendors, lawn mower drag races, live music, local entertainment and kids games.
JULY — HERMISTON CLASSIC CAR CLUB SHOW
Enjoy memories of the good ole days by stopping by The Classic Car Club Show. The show happens every year at McKenzie Park in conjunction with Funfest.
JULY — PURPLE RIDGE LAVENDER FESTIVAL
Enjoy dinner, wine tasting, art and antiques amongst the heavenly lavender fields at the Purple Ridge Lavender Festival. The festival has become an annual favorite of locals in the community.
AUGUST — FARM CITY PRO RODEO
Each year cowboys will compete against the top livestock from the U.S. and Canada at the Farm City Pro Rodeo. In 2009 the rodeo was voted “Top Bucking Stock Remuda” by the PRCA.
OCTOBER — WINE & CHEESE FESTIVAL
Each year the Chamber hosts a Wine and Cheese Festival featuring wine and beer tasting from the best wineries and breweries around. Live music, dancing and the chance to win prizes will have you looking forward to the good time.
DECEMBER — FARM FAIR AG & TRADESHOW
The show features ag-related vendors from all over the Pacific Northwest and offers classes and seminars that can be used for continued education credits.
DECEMBER — FESTIVAL OF TREES
A two day event, dinner, entertainment and live auction make for a spectacular holiday evening. The second day is family day, filled with holiday crafts and a special visit from Santa himself.
