
• DSA Banquet (January)
Each year, the Chamber hosts the Distinguished Service Awards Banquet. The banquet honors Hermiston’s man, woman, young person and business person of the year.
• Columbia Basin Bull Breeders Show (February)
In early February Hermiston’s Main Street is home to yearling bull’s from all over the Northwest. Pens line each side of the street, along with a Western Art Walk and large Quilt Show. This is one event you won’t want to miss as Hermiston’s most attended event of the year.
• Community Clean-up Day (April)
• Professional Assistant’s Day Luncheon (April)
The Chamber’s Professional Assistant’s Day Luncheon is held each April on national Secretary’s Day. Local employers nominate their staff for an Assistant of the Year award that is presented during the Luncheon.
• Hermiston FunFest (July)
This day begins with the Teddy Bear Parade, Car Show, Motorcycle show, steak dinner, games and lots of entertainment for the whole family all day and evening long.
• Umatilla County Fair and Farm City Pro Rodeo (August)
For five days each August, Hermiston is home to the Umatilla County Fair and nationally famous Farm City Pro Rodeo. Big name entertainment, exhibits, rides, top cowboys, cowgirls, nationally known clowns and announcers all come to Hermiston.
• Wine & Cheese Festival, and Annual Vitner, Jazz Dinner
Now in its 27th year, the Chamber’s Annual Wine & Cheese Festival and Vintner Dinner has become known as one of the premier social events in Hermiston. Local attendees collect the commemorative glasses offered each year. Wines from four northwest states are featured along with domestic and international cheeses. Following the wine tasting portion of the evening, dancing is available.
• Farm Fair Ag & Trade Show (December)
The Chamber hosts a dinner in conjunction with the Farm Fair held at the Conference Center each December. Farmers, ranchers and business people alike enjoy this fun filled evening, which features a social hour, dinner and entertainment.
